On 10 May 2021, a consultative meeting was held with the local representatives of the City of Mostar, aiming at selecting the top 3 topics that will most improve the life quality of the citizens of Mostar, out of the 6 previously voted by the representatives of the civil society and the academic community. 12 representatives of the local authorities of Mostar took part in the meeting, where they had the opportunity to discuss the 6 previously selected topics in more detail, considering the available resources and possibilities to tackle these questions. At the end of the meeting, participants were invited to vote for these topics, using a specifically tailored methodology. The following topics have been selected:
- Clean and well-maintained public spaces in the City
- Support for youth employment, assistance in starting own business
- Creating new jobs and tackling unemployment
Citizens of Mostar will be tasked with the final selection of the topic, which will be discussed during the Citizen’s Assembly. In the next phase of the project, 5000 randomly selected households from Mostar will receive an invitation letter to vote for one of the three topics previously selected and to apply for participation in the citizen’s Assembly due to be held in July.
