For the first time ever at the state level, the Citizens’ Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) composed of 57 randomly selected members gathered in February 2022 to discuss constitutional and electoral reforms in BiH. The Assembly was created and organized by the EU delegation in BiH with the support of the OSCE Mission to BiH and the US Embassy in Sarajevo. The Assembly presented a set of 17 recommendations to the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH in March 2022 aiming at strengthening the electoral system and removing discriminatory clauses present both in the Constitution of BiH and the Electoral Law.
