On 28 March 2023, the first out of four webinars on the topic How to organise Citizens’ Assembly was organised.

Webinar is organised by the Council of Europe, and the lecturers are Yves Dejaeghere, Phd- International expert in deliberative democracy Bruxelles and professor Damir Kapidžić, local expert in deliberative democracy, University of Sarajevo.

Webinars are organised for representatives of the City of Mostar and Banja Luka, as well as for the representatives of Sarajevo and Modriča.

Cities Mostar and Banja Luka will be provided specific expert support by the Council of Europe Congress during this year, for the purpose of adopting new democratic approaches in order to organize Citizen’s Assemblies in the end of 2023.

Thanks to the joint efforts of the Council of Europe and the City of Mostar, the First Citizens’ Assembly in Mostar was successfully organized in July 2021.

By commissioning the second Citizens’ Assembly, the City of Mostar will further enhance transparency and inclusion of citizens in local public affairs.
