Share your ideas with the Assembly
Participation in the Assembly as a member, expert lead, or speaker is by invitation only but we want to hear your thoughts on what you think the Assembly should discuss and who should speak at the Assembly, as well as your ideas on how Mostar can successfully resolve the local issues of concern.
The topic of deliberationwas subject to public consultations through an online survey that lasted two weeks. The top six proposals were then submitted for the final selection by the key project stakeholders and the City of Mostar authorities, who pre-select three final deliberation topics. The final topic was selected by the citizens who received the invitation to participate in the deliberative process.
Observing the Assembly
Principles of transparency and accessibility governed Mostar’s Assembly. All sessions were recorded so we invited anyone who is interested to watch these sessions. Links to watch the sessions are available on this page as well as the official YouTube channel.
Observer is a person who watches the progress of the Assembly and may be present during the Assembly Members’ meetings without the right to participate in discussions or voting.
Those professionally or academically involved with the subject of citizens’ assemblies and those interested in organising a citizens’ assembly were able to participate in the Assembly’s plenary sessions as Observers. Observers did not include Experts or representatives of Stakeholders.
The request to observe the Assembly was sent to the Coordination team at the following email: koordinacionitim@mostargradimo.ba The requests were submitted at least one week before the session and included the applicant’s background and interest in the observation.
If you have any ideas how to improve the deliberative process in Mostar or to suggest any relevant issue, please contact us via email: info@mostargradimo.ba
