On 24 March 2023, on line training was organised for the representatives of the City of Mostar, concerning taking over the ownership and maintenance of the web site mostargradimo.ba.

Training was organised by the Council of Europe, as a follow-up to the Grant Agreement to support the organisation of a second deliberative process in the City of Mostar-Citizen’s Assembly, signed on February 28, 2023 between Council of Europe and the City of Mostar.

Web site mostargradimo.ba was created as an output of the successfully organised First Citizen’s Assembly in the City of Mostar in July 2021 by the Council of Europe. Since its launch in March 2021, the web site has recorded more than 25.000 visits, and we hope that it will continue to be a useful resource for the people of Mostar and throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina in stimulating citizens’ dialogue with the local authorities on issues of public interest. By signing the Grant Agreement of February 28, 2023, the City of Mostar has taken the responsibility to continue with communication in regard to organisining Citizen’s Assembly.

This activity is carried out in the framework of the project “Innovating democratic participation at local level in Bosnia and Herzegovina” implemented by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities within the Council of Europe Action Plan for Bosnia and Herzegovina 2022-2025. The project aims to enhance the quality of local democracy and create opportunities for citizens to engage in innovative participatory processes in Mostar and elsewhere in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It promotes new democratic approaches, open government, public ethics, transparent and inclusive local policy making in the country.
